UC Berkeley researchers have helped develop a new artificial intelligence tool that can detect deepfake videos with high accuracy, according to a study published in the journal Nature Machine Intelligence on Monday. The tool, called Deepfake Detection Challenge dataset, or DFDC, is the largest and most diverse dataset of deepfake videos to date, and it can be used to train AI models to identify deepfakes with greater accuracy.
